Obituary of Wesley Broadbent – Lawrence, NJ

LAWRENCE – Wesley W. Broadbent, age 87, of Lawrence Township, passed away peacefully at his home on April 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Trenton and a lifelong resident of the area, Wesley was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Wenzel Tile Co. He was a founding member and past president of the Whitehead Veterans Club, and a member of the VFW Post 3022. Wesley’s pride and joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, George and Emma Miller Broadbent, his wife, Emma Wilchinsky Broadbent, brother, Charles “Bud” Broadbent, and sisters, Georgia and Dottie. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathee and Joe Bianchini of Chesterfield and Sherry and Bob Dutko of Ewing Township; four grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Nick, Michael and Barbara, Erica and Jason, and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Joleen, Tyler and Michael; a brother, Dick Broadbent of Mercerville; and a sister, Betty Shipp of Yardville.

Private funeral services and burial will take place at the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. Chapel services will be private, in accordance with Wesley’s wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartmann Memorial Home 2830 Nottingham Way.
