Chance to visit the best garden in Nottinghamshire

People will get the chance to look around what is probably what is probably the most beautiful garden in Nottinghamshire. Gonalston Open Gardens is hosting an event on Sunday 23rd June.

The garden, located in the village of Gonalston, just north of Lowdham, was a finalist on Channel 4’s Garden of the Year and has also featured in BBC’s Gardeners’ World. The event, which takes place between 1pm and 5pm, will allow people to explore formal and cottage gardens.

There will also be a showcase of classic cars, a raffle, a plant stall and cream teas and Pimm’s. Children enter free, with adult admission starting at £6.

The proceeds go to the maintenance of St. Laurence Church and the defibrillator of the village community. “The Gonalston Open Gardens fundraising would not be possible without all the hard work put in by villagers and local businesses,” the website says.
