WRPS continues to investigate single motor vehicle collisions in Woolwich Township

Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Services Unit (TSU) continues to investigate a single motor vehicle collision in Woolwich Township.

On May 20, 2024, around 3:15 p.m., emergency services responded to a single collision with a motor vehicle on line 86 near Zijweg 16.

During the initial investigation, police determined that the driver of a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Route 86 when he left the roadway and struck a fence.

The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man from Woolwich Township, was transported to an out-of-area hospital with serious injuries.

Line 86 was closed for several hours due to the investigation and has now reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
