On Pistol Mpanza Avenue, in KwaMakhutha, Amanzimtoti, Senzo Ngcamu, 37, despairs over whether he will ever have a reliable water supply.

“Multiple complaints to eThekwini (municipality) fell on deaf ears, to the point that we have given up,” the father of five said.

Ngcamu added that President Cyril Ramaphosa had visited the area ahead of the 2021 local government elections and promised to resolve the problem.
