A priest has been denied a state pension because he does not have enough PRSI contributions after working as a missionary in Ghana for 31 years.

Father Patsy Lynch, 75, who has been a parish priest in Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, for the past 17 years after returning from more than 30 years in Africa, said he is “very disappointed”.
