Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday formally welcomed the Calcutta High Court’s decision regarding OBC Muslim reservations, saying the Constitution does not allow reservation on the basis of religion. The CM said the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal was practicing appeasement politics, with 118 Muslim castes included in the OBC category in 2010. Yogi had thanked the HC for its decision at an election meeting in UP on Wednesday.
