CDA increases the water supply

Islamabad: On the directions of the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Water Supply Wing has taken measures to provide uninterrupted water supply to the citizens so that the citizens do not face any problem during the summer season.

In this regard, water supply has been increased taking into account the needs of citizens. According to details, water supply has been increased in sectoral and non-sectoral areas of Islamabad due to adequate water reserves. Similarly, issues such as leakages in pipelines and reduction in water pressure are also resolved on priority to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the citizens. While the repair of the damaged tube well is also initiated within 24 hours.

As per the details, 25 out of 30 tankers are fully functional, similarly 188 out of 200 tube wells are fully functional and 95 water filtration plants are also fully operational 24 hours a day. Tests are also carried out monthly from the CDA and PCRW laboratories. While the field service also visits the filtration installations on the basis of inspection, so that defects can be remedied immediately.

In addition, the Water Supply Wing will also soon begin the installation of another twelve new filter installations. New filtration plants will be installed in sectors I-14, I-16, D-12, I-11 and other sectors. While effective strategies are adopted to maintain water quality so that citizens can be provided with water of sufficient quality. The Water Resources Department of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has assured that the complaints received will be addressed within twenty-four hours. Similarly, for the convenience of the citizens, the Water Supply Department has issued a separate helpline number 0335-7775444 so that the citizens do not face any kind of difficulties and the problems of the citizens can be resolved at their doorstep. While the duties of the concerned personnel of the Water Supply Wing have also been tightened and orders have also been issued to them to remain in the field.
