The Precinct gets an official gameplay overview trailer

Kwalee has released a gameplay overview trailer for the upcoming police game that looks like a classic GTA on a modern engine, The Precinct.

In this trailer we see what our in-game day could look like playing as a new agent from the academy.

In The Precinct, players clean up the city, uncover the truth and embark on thrilling vehicle chases through destructible environments in this neon-noir action sandbox cop game.

The Precinct promises to combine police sim details with action sandbox spectacle. Players can patrol the streets and respond to calls to fight small and powerful criminals. In addition, they can choose their own tactics in exciting chases and firefights.

According to the publisher, the game will have procedurally led to crimes ranging from parking violations to gang shootings. And to be honest, I just hope the game doesn’t really rely heavily on this procedurally generated content. In short, I hope there will be a long, well-crafted story to experience.

As mentioned, The Precinct will have destructible environments. Moreover, it offers a day/night cycle with dynamic weather.

As far as we know, Kwalee is planning to release this game later this year. Or at least that’s what the Steam store page indicates. However, there is still no exact expected date for when it will release.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
