Travel information for Take That at Stadium MK

One of Britain’s most successful bands, Take That, returns to Stadium MK in Milton Keynes on Thursday 30 May 2024 with their This Is Life tour.

Below you will find information to help you plan your trip to and from the stadium. You will also find additional information about the traffic management measures that will be taken to allow visitors to enter the stadium as safely and quickly as possible. Given the larger turnout, we ask all visitors to plan their trip in advance and allow as much time as possible for their arrival in the evening.

By train

Milton Keynes Central Station is the recommended station for rail travel and is part of the Event Day Shuttle Service route to the stadium. The Event Day Shuttle Service starts at 2:00 PM and the return journey from the stadium is from 9:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The return fare is €10 per person (plus €2.25 booking fee). Bletchley train station is approx. 30 minutes walk from Stadion MK and is not included in the shuttle service. You are reminded to double check the times of your trains and allow sufficient time to reach your departure station, taking into account the large number of people likely to use the shuttle service.

With the bus

Stadium MK is served in the evenings by local bus routes 5 and 6, each providing frequent services between the stadium and Milton Keynes Central Station, Milton Keynes town center and Bletchley Bus Station (a 5-minute walk from Milton Keynes Train Station Bletchley). Service 6 will be diverted after the event when Saxon Street is subject to a road closure.

With the shuttle bus on event day

The Event Day Shuttle Service will run specifically for this concert between Central Milton Keynes and the stadium, starting at the bus stop on Midsummer Boulevard (postcode MK9 1EA what3words///hacksaw.orbited.tidying). The return fare is £10 per person (plus £2.25 booking fee). Tickets can be purchased in advance online at
www.parkthecarhere.com or on the day itself from the counter indicated at the bus stop. Please note that tickets are not sold on the buses themselves.

This is a running service that starts at 2:00 PM, with the last bus leaving Midsummer Boulevard at 7:30 PM. The return journey will take place from Saxon Street (adjacent to KFC/Gate 5) from 9:00 PM. The last bus leaves the stadium at 00:30. The service will be provided by First Travel on behalf of the stadium.

There is ample parking in the public car parks around the pick-up points at Milton Keynes Central Station. Parking rates vary, so be sure to check signage in the parking lot when parking.

By car – Parking lot in the stadium

On-site parking spaces can be purchased online at www.parkthecarhere.com. The parking fee for this event is €40 plus booking fees. You will be asked to attach your vehicle registration. This is scanned upon entering the parking lot to speed up access. We recommend that you have your e-ticket at hand, printed or on a smartphone, in case any problems arise. You will be asked to use the Saxon Street entrance. The best postcode for this entry is MK1 1ET.

Blue badge holders

Parking with a blue badge is extremely limited and payable and MUST be reserved in advance via the Box Office. Please email (email protected). You must provide your license plate number and blue badge number. You will be asked to use the Saxon Street entrance. The best postcode for this entry is MK1 1ET. Your license plate will be scanned upon entering the parking garage, but we recommend that you bring a copy of your e-ticket, printed or available on your smartphone. You must bring your valid blue badge.

Parking outside the site

Park & ​​Walk – Bond Estates MK1 1SW
Park & ​​Walk parking is available from Bond Estates (MK1 1SW) and spaces can be pre-booked at www.parkthecarhere.com, at a cost of £35 plus booking fee. You will be asked to attach your vehicle registration. This is scanned upon entering the parking lot to speed up access. We recommend that you have your e-ticket at hand, printed or on a smartphone, in case any problems arise. This official location opens at 5:00 PM and closes at 12:30 AM and will be staffed throughout the event.

Park & ​​Stride – National Bowl MK MK5 8RR
Parking is available at the National Bowl MK as a Park & ​​Stride service, which can be pre-booked for £30 plus booking fee at www.parkthecarhere.com. You will be asked to attach your vehicle registration. This is scanned upon entering the parking lot to speed up access. We recommend that you have your e-ticket at hand, printed or on a smartphone, in case any problems arise. This official site will be staffed throughout the event. The parking garage is open from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Public car parks in the center of Milton Keynes
There is ample parking in the public car parks around Milton Keynes Central Train Station, which is accessible via the Event Day Shuttle Service pick-up point on Midsummer Boulevard (postcode MK9 1EA what3words///hacksaw.orbited.tidying). Parking rates vary, so be sure to check signage in the parking lot when parking. As detailed above, the Event Day Shuttle Service runs from central Milton Keynes from 2:00 PM and travels direct to the stadium. Local industrial parking
A limited number of on-street parking spaces are available in the local industrial areas surrounding the stadium site. Visitors are asked to park legally and considerately and to respect our neighbors by not causing disruption to their homes or businesses, some of which are open 24 hours a day. Please note that parking enforcement will be in effect. Visitors are not permitted to park in surrounding residential areas where parking is limited and restricted for resident use.

Retail parking lots
Parking at the MK1 Shopping & Leisure Parks, Fitness First, ASDA and IKEA locations is restricted to customers for a limited period only and ANPR cameras are in use, which may result in fines being issued. Traffic Management and Parking Enforcement will be in operation.

To take off
There is a dedicated drop-off point on Dawson Road, accessible via Marlborough Street. All vehicles will be asked to turn left onto Saxon Street once pedestrians have exited. All pedestrians will be guided to reach the stadium site opposite Gate 5 via the underpass under Saxon Street, with direct access to Fan Village. Follow the signage and steward’s instructions to the drop-off area. Dropping off within the stadium road network is not permitted for any reason.

To retrieve
After the concert, the stadium grounds will be completely closed for 30 minutes and absolutely no vehicle movements will be allowed. Vehicles in the stadium parking lots will be held for 30 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit safely. The general pick-up service will be from the collection point on Dawson Road, access via Marlborough Street. Follow the signage and instructions of the steward. Please note that road closures will be in force on Saxon Street and there will be no access to the stadium from Grafton Street after the concert.

With the cab
There will be NO dedicated Hackney Carriage point on site and standard drop off/collection points should be used as described above. A large number of private rental companies operate in Milton Keynes and require advance booking. There is NO designated collection point for private hire on the stadium site and standard drop off/collection points must be used as described above.

On foot
The stadium is accessible via the Milton Keynes Redway network via Grafton Street (V6) and Saxon Street (V7). For your own safety, please stick to the sidewalks and underpasses.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES

For the safety of visitors, the following traffic control measures will be in place around the stadium that night:
