JEDDAH — A total of 267,657 pilgrims from around the world have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage until the end of Sunday. The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said on Monday that this figure also includes pilgrims passing through Saudi airports, seaports and land access points. The vast majority of pilgrims arrived by plane.

The Jawazat said it is mobilizing all its capabilities to ease the entry procedures for the pilgrims by strengthening its online platforms at international air, land and sea ports with the highly advanced technological devices managed by qualified human cadres skilled in the different languages ​​spoken by the pilgrims. the pilgrims.

Since Dhul Qada 1, which corresponds to May 9, when the annual pilgrimage season began, pilgrims started pouring into the kingdom from all parts of the world. Tens of thousands of pilgrims arrive in Mecca and Medina every day, amid an integrated and accessible system aimed at serving pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and comfort.
