Crunchyroll will stream Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction weekly

Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede destruction coming to Crunchyroll in episodic format on May 23, as announced earlier today. The adaptation was initially announced as a two-part film; the first premiered on March 22, while the second will be shown on May 24. Crunchyroll states that the anime will be available in over 200 countries and territories around the world and describes the plot as:

As the world is threatened by the sudden appearance of a mysterious alien mothership, best friends Kadode Koyama and Oran ‘Ontan’ Nakagawa continue with their high school lives. But as they grow older, they face existential questions, learn the complexities of adulthood, and realize that the real threat may not come from above.

Dead Dead Demon's Dededede destruction

The Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede destruction anime adapts Inio Asano’s manga series, originally released for 12 volumes in Shogakukan’s Great comic minds magazine. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English. Studio Production +h is responsible for the animation with Tomoyuki Kurokawa as director. Reiko Yoshida is writing the screenplay, while Nobutake Ito is credited as both the character designer and lead animation director. Taro Umebayashi composes the music.

Lilas Ikuta and Ano sing Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede destruction‘s theme song “ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki,” which will be featured in the episodic version.
