Home opener

The Cards open the season at home with a non-conference game against Austin Peay.

Ville’ns rating

It’s also Ville’ns Appreciation Day, with special giveaways and opportunities for the most loyal student fans.

Saturday September 7 vs. Jacksonville State

Greetings to the service

The Cardinals will host the Salute to Service game, where both veterans and active military personnel will be honored throughout the day with various ticket offers and exclusive recognitions.

Golden Knights of the US Army

We are honored to be joined once again by the US Army Parachute Team – The Golden Knights, for a pregame jump to the stadium.

Harry Douglas Honored Jersey Ceremony

Harry Douglas’ No. 85 jersey will be added to the jerseys honored at L&N Stadium. The UofL Athletics Hall of Famer was one of the best receivers in UofL history and still holds multiple receiving records.

Children’s Day

Extra garden for teachers – Teacher Appreciation Day

The Georgia Tech game will also feature the Cards’ annual celebration and recognition of local educators, with exclusive ticket discounts available for UofL faculty and staff and those who work in local school districts. Scouts Day

As part of annual Scout Day, local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops have access to discounted group tickets and can pick up an exclusive Louisville Scout patch.

10 year ACC anniversary

The 2024 season marks the 10th anniversary of Louisville joining the ACC.

Spirit day

The Louisville cheer squads and Ladybirds will host a youth clinic prior to kickoff and a special on-field performance during the game. Registration will be possible later this summer.

UL Health Halftime Achievements

This game features UL Marching Band and UL Health’s annual halftime performance, where we work with survivors in the community to create an extra special halftime performance.

US Navy Leap Frogs

Louisville Football welcomes the US Navy Parachute Team – The Leap Frogs to L&N Cardinal Stadium for the first time as they jump in for a pregame ceremony.

Saturday, October 5 vs. SMU

50th Anniversary of Rumble in the Jungle / Ali Day

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of Muhammad Ali and George Foreman’s Rumble in the Jungle fight. We will honor our hometown legend throughout the game.

Cardinal Family Weekend

The annual Cardinal Family Weekend, hosted by the Louisville Parents and Family Association, welcomes families of UofL students to campus for a weekend of fall activities. For more information about Family Weekend, visit

Band day

The UofL Cardinal Marching Band “Band Day” offers high school band students the opportunity to see a collegiate marching band and football team at their best. Students join the Cardinal Marching band for pregame practices and have the opportunity to perform on the field during halftime.

Athletics Alumni Weekend

Former Louisville student-athletes are welcomed back to campus for a pre-game tailgate party and given tickets to cheer on the Cardinals versus the Hurricanes

Hall of Fame weekend

Louisville is proud to honor its newest inductees into the Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2024, which will be announced at a later date, will be recognized at the game following their induction on Friday evening.

Teddy Bridgewater Honored Jersey Ceremony

Teddy Bridgewater’s No. 5 jersey will be added to the jerseys honored at L&N Stadium. Bridgewater led the Cards to a BCS Bowl Game and was named MVP of both the 2013 Sugar Bowl and the 2013 Russell Athletics Bowl.

Join the pregame in The Alley for the inaugural Ag Day Tailgate. Agriculture vendors and associations from across the state will provide a barbecue meal for this pregame tailgate, with proceeds benefiting the agricultural community.
