Natchez man arrested, accused of stealing lumber in Catahoula Parish

CATAHOULA PARISH, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) arrested a Mississippi man accused of stealing timber in Catahoula Parish.

LDAF says Kenan Shotwell Gwinn of Natchez was harvesting timber for a landowner in Catahoula Parish and went beyond a marked boundary line without permission. The timber cut without permission was valued at $13,429.

Even after being notified of the incident, LDAF says Gwinn never repaid the value of the wood.

Gwinn was arrested for lumber theft and booked into the Catahoula Parish Jail on May 10.
